Happy Birthday Luke!

Luke turned 3 on Friday and had the "best birbday" according to him. All day he kept asking me if it was still his birbday and all that he wanted (besides that $50 Buzz Lightyear, that we definitely did not get him) was for his friends to come over for a Dumbo's Circus party.

Showing off his new crocodile boots and making some very interesting faces!

The Dumbo's Circus party.

The kids playing the Elefun game.
Pin the feather on Dumbo's trunk.
Dave drew the picture of Dumbo for the party one night while I was at Young Womens and was super proud of it. The next day Luke kept commenting on how "perfect" the hat looked... I am thinking that Dave was boasting about that one to him.

Luke with his cute buddies. Max, Samuel, Ashton and Tate.
Pinata time.

Ashton was the only one smart enough to stay with the goodies!

This was Luke's excited/kind of embarrassed face that he made every time someone sang Happy Birthday to him.
I especially like Linsy and her Mom's cute faces in the background. Note to self: learn how to frost a cake!

I made one of those rainbow cakes and I have to say it was so fun to make. It made me so happy and icing tints were the key to the bright colors. I would make it again any day, except now that I think about it Luke didn't even eat one bite of the actual cake!

Max, Annie (Luke's crush), Luke and Benji. Thanks to all of our friends for coming, it made him soooo happy and thanks for taking the pics Leslie.

For some reason later that night we ended up at the Olive Garden. We were planning on going to Hershey Park in the Dark to go on the rollercoasters and go trick-or treating but it was rained out so we ended up here instead.

Luke kept making a weird Popeye face when the Olive people sang to him and I never knew that they give you a huge, yummy cake for your b-day!Then we went home and opened some more presents.

Luke on his very first birthday. Everything about the day of his birth was perfect. It was the best day of my life and I am kind of mad at him because I told him to not get big! I love the burrito baby.

But he is so fun big too. Luke, not that you can read, but you are such a sweet boy and you make our lives so much happier. You are such my little buddy and I love everything about you!!

Apple picking

Picking apples at the orchard was a hit. Luke had lots of fun with his cute friend Ashton and it cost $5 for half a bushel(a rounded bucket)of apples! So far our favorite thing that we have made with the apples has been apple turnovers. Ta-sty.

I repeat only $5!

Ahhhh, seasons! Welcome back. Where have you been? The past 4 years in Az, I craved the fall and actually being able to drink cider and wear fun things like pants and closed toe shoes without sweating bullets. I have forgotton how much I enjoy that cozy feeling. Thank you seasons, I feel like myself again!

100% potty trained!

duck pond

We really liked coming to this duck pond in the summer. It is a few minutes away from our house and Luke was so excited about sailing his cool juice box boat in it. It didn't work too well but he had fun anyway. P.S. this is his current favorite shirt. He switches off wearing this one and his Buzz and Woody shirt. Expect it to be in many more pics!

going, going, gone

We love a good backyard hill.

the move

10 states and 2500 miles later we made it to Pennsylvania.

1.Arizona
2. New Mexico
3. Texas
4. Oklahoma
5. Missouri
6. Indiana
7. Illinois
8. Michigan
9. Ohio
10. Pennsylvania

We stayed in New Mexico with our good friends, Betsy and Jeremy. It was so great catching up with them. They slept on the couch while we slept in their comfy bed in their in their adorable apartment. Oh, and Betsy was about 8 months pregnant... I still feel bad about that one.

Thanks for making Dave's day with this one, Jeremy. {Note Luke's handcuffs}

Amarillo, Tx

Oklahoma- soaking in the hotel hot tub.
Luke slept like this everyday. Blanket over his head and holding the rubber snake.
Missouri (above). Wt style at the gas station. Just trying to fit in with the hillbillies!

Michigan (below). We had so much fun staying with Dave's sister Ali and husband Jade. We stayed with them for a few days in Grand Rapids. It was very pretty and we couldn't get enough of the river in their backyard. Luke loved hanging out with the four boys and it was so great to be there for Connor's birthday and baptism.
Luke and Pen (Spencer).
They caught a hey dude (turtle in Luke language).

Goodbye hugs

We also stayed a night in Ann Arbor with Jackson and Cara. It was great to have lots of family in Michigan.

No more car!!!

First peeks of Pennsylvania!

Hershey Greetings!

We are back! The computer is fixed and I have about 15 million pictures that I have to do something with, so I will try to post a few times this week. P.S. Luke is diggin' his new big boy bed and new big boy undies.
