Don't mess with Texas

We are home...hallelujah!! Here are our pictures from our month in Dallas. I guess I never updated about our little adventure. The apartment was gross, but manageable. Dave had a good schedule and worked from 5-3 everyday which was great because we could get out of the house for the afternoon and evening. (Since he needed the car to drive to the hospital). Even though it started out not so great, we LOVE Dallas. There is so much to do there and it is seriously SO beautiful. Maybe we have been in AZ for too long but we were drooling at the green, plush trees and forests. I thought Dallas was supposed to be all southwestern and cactus-y. Everywhere we looked was another pretty place . The temple was in this forest-y neighborhood and Dave's comment while driving through the pretty neighborhoods was "what I have I done wrong not to deserve this!" Overall good experience and would do it again. This was a pretty lake that Luke liked. It had a park and lots of ducks and I know what you are thinking...I should be a professional photographer after this picture! J/k but it is some of my finer work. There are millions of chipmunks everywhere. One of the greatest days ever! My mom sent us a package during that first week. It saved us for sure. Books, magazines, roach traps, Lysol, Buzz coloring books, dvd's and many treats. Bless you, mom. All sorts of fun parks everywhere. All of the parks have playgrounds and lakes and for $1 you can swim.

Luke's new thing to do is to get the stethoscope or any other cord and put it on someones stomach and say "da dum, da dum."Obviously the circus was in town and we went. We liked it.First time bowling.

Luke's new girlfriend is this hottie German. Her and her boyfriend came from Germany and were doing a rotation with Dave. She kept staring at Luke and kept saying " I love the kids." They were smitten with each other and her boyfriend announced that she whispered to him in German that they should have a Luke!

Dining with the other visiting students. Actually snoring next to them. All they talked about were 12 lettered diseases. Here is the famous Grassy Knoll where JFK was shot at. Sad.

Above and to the right: The picture does not do justice but isn't this house cute and cottagey. Forest, chipmunks and cottages made me feel like I was in Sleeping Beauty's neighborhood!

This was fun to see, it is the oldest house in Dallas.

Luke saw himself in the mirror in the picture below and froze for 5 straight minutes. He thought the hat was really Woody's and loved it.
Little dimples making an appearance. I love those! Fried spaghetti. Isn't this how everyone re-warms their spaghetti? You forget how often you really use a microwave and we obviously didn't have one there.
Sorry about this one. I am sure no one is reading this ultra long post anymore, but these are some shoes that Luke and I made. This was at the end of the trip and we completely ran out of things to do. Desperate but entertaining.

So long Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
