The big campout!

Dave and Luke went on the father/son campout with our ward. Dave said that Luke loved every second of it! He said that he was running around being so busy and when it started getting dark, they went in the tent to go to sleep and Luke got a little concerned. But, I guess he slept fine and kept peeking up and smiling at Sam (Luke's cousin) all night. P.S. Sam and Micah joined them.

Look at that grimy face!

Swimming with the Mort's

Hip hip hooray! The Mortensen's neighborhood pool is built and ready for swimmers. This is our new home for the next while.
Cute pose Micah.
I am pleasantly surprised that Luke doesn't mind going under the water.

Our week of many uh-oh's

After we got home from San Diego, I felt like there was one disaster after another waiting for us! Luke says uh -oh a million times a day but the past week it was every second. Nothing catastrophic of course but it seemed like for every mess I was cleaning up I would finish to find a new one! I am sure everyone knows what this feels like, some weeks I just can't keep up. This uh-oh occurred over several days. Those pretty little shells that we found on the beach were very deceptive. I kept smelling a lingering odor so I checked Luke's diaper over and over, ran the garbage disposal, cleaned the fridge, kept taking all the garbage's out, only to find that the seashells were smelling up the place! It was so gross, I think one was a clam. I ditched the clam and put the others in a bucket of Clorox for a few days. Good tip for the seashell collector's.

If it get suddenly quiet in our house we know that we have left the office door open. This guilty looking boy loves to climb up on the desk and press and the buttons on and off on the computer and ipod. No broken gadgets just some scratches.
While cleaning up the rice that I scorched, Luke got hungry and went dumpster diving. He found a 2 day old yogurt that he decided to finish off...and I was standing next to him the whole time! Poor child with a terrible mother! Yep, my mom would be proud! The laundry that piled up on the guest bed. What it was a busy few weeks?!
This is not an uh-oh but I just think that it is cute! Some more uh-oh's include: going #2 in the tub (Luke)-always a favorite, pen all over our light tan couch, the scorched rice that led to a clogged sink, that led to a dishwasher malfunction, that led to a flood in our kitchen at 11pm. My favorite Mac cream blush spread all over the carpet and white sheets, and last but certainly not least looking over at playgroup to see Luke holding a huge handful of dog poop! mmmm But even after all of that fun and germiness I still can't get enough of him!
