Fun weekend ahead

Celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow night (since Dave will be working late on the real holiday), celebrating the twins FIRST birthday on Saturday (since Sundays are very chaotic with getting everyone out the door, lessons, print outs for callings, no naps, wiggly babes- I sort of dread Sundays but I am working really hard to try to love them a little more). With these two celebrations i have been excited about planning the menu since my appetite is nice and hearty these days. I need a place to mark these recipes so this is it i guess. 3 simple recipes.

Friday:
-Crab legs(we like to bake it at a high temp for a short time) with lemon and melted butter. I don't know if pregos are supposed to eat crab but I will just try a little.
-Bruschetta (minus the chicken and add toasted baguette)
-Salad
-Broccoli Cheese Soup. There is something un-romantic about broccoli but I don't care since I have been craving it. Also, Luke loves to play with our crab leg shells while we eat so romance is not really a huge priority for us.

Saturday:
For the big birthday I am going low key. No friend party, I just want to enjoy the boys and get to watch them eat their cake and not worry about anything else. I am a big fan of family parties these days. For their cake I am going to just make my friend's tasty banana cake.

The bad news is that my cold that I had a couple of weeks ago has somehow now made it so that I can't taste anything for the past couple of days. I am really missing the taste of food and might as well just be eating wheat germ and carrot juice. I also can't smell anything so it makes it tricky with dirty diapers. I ripped Jude's diaper off last night to put him in the bath and within one second I saw the poop, he sat on my lap and Wyatt grabbed the diaper and threw the whole thing into the bath. Smelling stinky diapers does have it perks apparently.
