Feedings

After trying a few different ways to feed the babies we finally have mastered the art. I pump and we can feed the bottles to the boys at the same time. Sometimes we have to wake up one of them so that they will be on the same schedule but for the most part they are pretty in sync. During the day when I am on my own I put the babies in their bouncy seats to feed them. At night we have the Boppy's in the crib that they do not sleep in and we plop them in there. Barbara snuck in one morning to snap an in action photo. Please excuse the numerous pajama and make up less photos.
I now have a stool facing the crib and it has saved me. I used to almost pass out from exhaustion during those night feedings but now I can at least rest my legs and not to jinx myself or anything but these babies are only waking up once or twice per night these days. They are pure angel babies.

Grandma Owen's visit

Dave's mom came out to visit and since she is the photographer of the family we have lots of great pictures from her. It is so fun to have the Grandmas come out to meet their grandsons for the first time, help out and entertain Luke all day long. Dave loved watching the March madness games with his mom and I loved having her home all day with me to keep everyone calm and happy!

1 month...

Included lots of sleeping, cuddling, pumping, many delicious meals brought in and a 2 week visit from Grandma Linda.
Just after their first visit to the zoo. They loved being all bundled.

What is better than a sleeping baby? Three sleeping babies.
Wyatt's first bath. (He loved it about as much as I love giving those first baths).

Jude's first bath. He looks traumatized.

Grandma Linda and Jude. Thanks for coming out and taking such good care of all of us! I am always amazed at ow much my mom can get done in a single day.

I have to say that things have gone a ton better than I ever anticipated. The first two weeks Dave had vacation time and was able to stay home with us. It was like the greatest vacation ever. Seriously! We just couldn't stop laughing and smiling at our little guys. We were on cloud nine. Everything those boys do makes us giggle. I don't know if it is just easier the second time around or that it is just hilarious to watch two squirmy newborns but we had a great time being all together as a family.
There are so many things about the newborn stage that I had forgotten. Like how it feels like they sleep all day and are up all night, the fun newborn smell, all of the cute baby burps and toots, how hard that first night home is and the crazy dreams. The first night home included getting up 1000 times to pop in binkies, our fire alarm going off because of a bottle nipple burning in the dishwasher and every time that we got up with the kids I had to ask Dave how many more babies were in still in the crib even though we were holding both of them. I kept thinking we had like 20 babies. It sort of felt like it. But we got into a rhythm and things are going well. These boys are amazing and I can't believe that we have three of them all of a sudden.
