Happy Thanksgiving!

We had such a fun, quiet and yummy Thanksgiving dinner. We have actually been so excited to just relax and stay home all day by ourselves (after Dave's Turkey Bowl of course). We bought our Turkey way early and got all of our favorite family recipes and cooked up a storm. The feast. So good!!

Lukey's Indian hat...sorry Native American.

Posing by the tree.
We drove by and had to pull over for this. It's a Luke tree!
Luke wants to go to this cool school one day!Our fun trip to the Phoenix zoo.
Luke made a barking noise at every single animal that he saw!

I miss binky's! Luke has not had a binky for maybe 5 or 6 months but I found one of his old ones and wanted to see what he would do with it and he sucked on it the rest of the night! I want him to use one again. I think they are so cute and handy but Dave does not approve of this idea so I guess Luke won't start that habit back up!

Luke and Jamie's fun playdate.
Going in for the kill!
Giving a head massage.
So thirsty after lots of playing!
Luke is a better walker on the grass. Best day of his life!

Sam and Ella walking with Luke.

This is Luke's new favorite game! He thinks it is so cool. He makes me carry him upside down and he points in the direction that he wants to go. If you wonder what we do all day this is it and don't let my smile mask my severe back pain!
All ready for church waiting for the slow mom.
Luca Bella! My pretty little girl! Dave is doing his Ob/GYN rotation this month and had to do his weekly 24hrs at the hospital stay so we got bored. I found this outfit that I had bought with Lindsay Mathie way before we had kids and Luke secretly liked being all dolled up!
He does not pass for a girl!
Thanks for my new car Grandma Dena.

When you live in Arizona you get to have pool parties in November!

Luke loved all of his new birthday toys that he got in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Owen! After he finished opening all of them...
he showed off his new temper tantrum skills.

You asked for it! Whenever I look through my pictures I find a solo shot of Amy that she has somehow managed to snap with my camera without me knowing, so here is your payback sucka!!

Oh, what a day!

Dave took Luke out one Saturday and it was dreamy! This is the first time in a year that I have been home alone. I didn't quite know how to spend my time though. I didn't know if I should relax and do nothing or get lots of things done so I ended up cleaning the bathrooms and taking a bath. Good compromise I guess.

The time has come...

Yes, it is time to join the world of blogging. After much resistance I decided to be a nice mom and finally show our family and friends some pics of Luke and what we do here in AZ. I am warning you that I will not be a good blogger since I hate being on the computer but I will do my best. I don't have enough time or the attention span to be on the computer. I don't understand how people do it! Checking e-mails for me is such a chore and Dave always ends up looking up my e-mails and telling me if there is anything good. My secret plan is to start this and have Dave be the one to keep it updated! P.S. Addie, don't disown us for having a blog!!

Birthday Week!

Luke and Dave had the best birthday week ever! We went to the train park for Luke's B-day and had his favorite spaghetti and meatballs for dinner (he ate 4 balls)! On Dave's B-day he got home early from the hospital so we went to the state fair all day and Saturday we had a Halloween/ Birthday party for them and had our friends over.

The yummy cupcakes that Amy made for Luke's B-day. I think that he liked it!

The cute cousins. Luke, Sam and Ella.
Here is the fun train that we went on. The girls are looking good in this picture!

Luke fell asleep before we even got out of the parking lot. He had a big day!

State Fair

October 19th Luke loved all of the animals.
It was in the 90's this day and we were dying of heat but of course everyone else is wearing pants.

The Big B-day Bash!

October 20th The birthday boys! Luke is a Utah basketball player (of course) and Dave is Dr. 90210 with the cut off sleeves and the plastic surgery pamphlets! Creepy!

Little Ute

Oh boy! Not a good picture of me to be found yet!

Luke and his cheerleader girlfriend, Jamie.
Ten cute little kids dressed up and decorating pumpkins.

The pumpkin birthday cake. A little bumpier than I had hoped for. We also had soup, sandwiches, chips and dips, carmel apples, and lots of treats!
Mmmmm.

Superman Max Mathie.

Opening up a present from the Mortensen's.

The first cuzy's bath. We put the kids in the bath after the party and yes that is a baby bath and yes I still bathe Luke in it! Amy told me that it is time to retire it since he is one now. Ella just thought it was a cool boat and plopped herself right in!
